Let's face it...

The toughest part of marketing online is product development. If you could just have your products delivered to you ready to sell with little competition then you know that you will be successful.

One of the greatest businesses to do online is information marketing. Many people are making money from ebooks that rival any NY Times bestseller. But writing is tough work and nobody likes to do it-except a chosen few!

How do you find what they are looking for? Do a keyword search analysis with a tool like wordtracker.com If we know what people are looking for then we can supply that information and make some cash.

So if you are not a writer what should you do? Or maybe you don't have the time to do the research necessary to put out a quality product. Well, you can go to places such as Elance.com and have writers bid on your ebooks. Or to Scriptlance.com and have programmers bid on your software projects. You take the best price and "Voila!" you're on your way.

Well, not quite.

You now need to pay a copywriter or try to write the copy for yourself-ouch! This may cost you another couple thousand bucks for a good copywriter. Then you may need a website designer if you don't want to mess with HTML.

Eventually you will have a product that is ready to go to market. Now you understand why online marketers know more than they do. It's a costly and tedious process.

But there have been some solutions online lately. There are a few membership sites that have popped up to fill the "niche marketing" craze. Everyone seems to be complaining that the Internet marketing arena is crowded so it's time to go for niche marketing.

The only problems here is that the ebooks that are given in the rough are still open to the competition of all those internet marketers that are looking to niche marketing. Why would I buy an ebook from you when I can just join the membership site and get the original stuff a lot cheaper?

These 'niche' product websites are not a bad idea but they have one major weakness--they are open to the masses. You see, the owners are more concerned about their pockets than their subscribers' success. They should be bold enough to say that our membership is only X amount and stick to it!!

A couple of months ago I bought the resale rights to a hot selling ebook. The owner promised that he was limiting the resale rights to just 50 buyers. Only to discover that he sold as many licenses as he could. You know what happened. The ebook is now on almost every website now as a bonus-devalued!

So you need products that you can market that have exclusivity built into them. You don't want to be competing with every Tom, Jack, Mary and Harry!
